If you're a poor student, you should take a look at the analog MXR Carbon Copy. It's getting really good reviews. When you're a working stiff with some cash to burn, you can save up for an EHX Deluxe Memory Man.

I got a DMM for Christmas, but I'd love to add a Carbon Copy to my collection.

I thought your DMM sounded like complete crap as a result of the mods done to it?

you two are off you heads. You may as well start telling him to get a diamond memory lane or pigtronix Echolution or some shit. he is a poor student.

stick with behringer mate.

if you want analogue sounds get a time machine or a vintage delay if your not fussed about modulation and want a smaller footprint.
If you want digitaly get a dd400 I like it better that the dd600.
If you want a bit of both get the echo machine.

they are all great pedals at budget prices. cant go wrong.

It's probably the search term addition to the url.

I have noticed this board does weird things when you link threads, like taking you to the index instead. It is powered by coal.

Thread isn't as amazing as I remember it.

Though it has reminded me why I quietly think jcyphe is awesome.

Coal? Damn, I had this fantasy of it being powered by Justin flapping his bellybutton in dots basement, and the frequent outages were just simply when dots forgot to restock the ketchup bottles.

Way to kill my dreams, mike.

No. I have an AnalogMan-modded DMM, and it sounds great. But it was having major snap/crackle/pop issues when I first got it. I sorted through most of them by swapping around different cables (my DMM seems to be pretty sensitive to noisy cables). I'm still getting some pops, but I'm pretty sure it's related to one of the I/O jacks, not to any mods. The AnalogMan mods just added internal mini-trim pots for setting the impedance and gain.

Ignoring the pop for now, the DMM is an awesome pedal. It's my favorite pedal by a mile (that's 1.609344 kilometers for you folks in Europe).

And it costs allot of money so is not an option for someone on a budget.
