I always think that it's a good thing that people try weird and wacky things.
I wouldn't want one myself, but I like the fact that they spark debate.
Regardless of whether I like it or not, I won't criticise someone for this type of thing...even if it looks quite gash

+1. Dean guitars look crap without copper pipes jammed into them. I am with Fran on this one. They should leave Teles alone, but I like the red knobs.

kindof like the look. completed bioshock of the xmas holidays so am still reeling from art-deco inspired dystopian nonsense. the trussart guitars are cool, but can't help think i'd take the skin off my forearm on that tele..

My ice cream job involves me being around pipes and valves all day. In fact my job is operating the valves, occasionally e-routing the pipework and generally keeping all of the mechanical stuff in working order. I definitely don't want to come home and see more of that on.

From a purely design point of view, I think they could have used these ideas and created something much more interesting. As it is it looks like someone cellotaped some metal onto a guitar.

well stated.

also, are these considered steampunk? doesn't that mean they're operated by steam? so, these are like faux steampunk'd? the more i look at that v, i guess i can see what he was going for, but i guess i'm missing the point.

Operated by steam? Are you joking?
Steampunk is a movement in fashion, art and design based on Victorian England and the steam age.
