it's not rare, it's just broken

Tirangular heads are rare though. I was saying it'd be strange if they put a triangular head in the pedal, because triangular scredrivers are rare. I know that this is not what they have done, and that it is broken, though.

if it was broken by him, he should fix/replace it.

this isnt the first time ive heard about issues with DBA pedals, unnacceptable, as almost every other small builder/overpriced boutique goes way out of their way to make their products "bulletproof."

you need to feel like you really paid for something, no? and their reputation depends on people talking about their initial reactions, i e "built like a brick" "solid feeling knobs/ stomp switch" "nice finish/graphics."

yea, aren't the triangle heads like the nintendo proprietary screw heads? like the later nintendo cartridges used them and I think the gameboy advance had some weird ones like that.

I think that companies put them on things that they don't want you taking apart.

For $150 I would expect the trimpot to be functional.

I think Nintendo uses torx screws.
My favourite are bolts and screws that need to be removed with pin spanners.

I'm not at all sure what my favourite screw head/driver set up is. I've never given it any thought, like.

I had no clue what a pin spanner was until I had to remove the 70s bottom bracket on my Mercian. Then I started to see pin spanner heads everywhere. All the removeable fitting on buses and the Subway can be removed with a pin spanner.

Is a pin spanner one of the jobs that sort of adopts the shape of whatever you put it to?

I got mine from canada haha. Couldn't find one in the US...

sorry, im not trying to make fun, but i got a chuckle from this. its like from a movie or something.

i really hate that you feel discriminated against, man. like i said, this isn't the first ive heard from mr. rockstar DBA place to bury strangers.

also, some nintendo carts use triangles, and some use bolts, like they need a tiny inverted torx socket. fuckers.

i really cant imagine someone opening up their game and being able to do anything adverse with it, and if a software company wants to steal their shit they will just cut one open (but probably they'll do it all in software anyway.)

if somebody really could do something with the chips on the board of a SNES game, it probably would be badassed and creative and should be encouraged by all parties, including nintendo.

It's to make it tamper proof to protect warranties and such.

btw that brings me to another point: tamper evident, OK, if i void my warranty its because i deem it worth it. OR, i want to open the thing that is MINE, that i BOUGHT, and the warranty is over anyway.

tamper proof, please. dont fucking baby me. fuck that. i know that nintendo had kids in mind but some of my best learning experiences were from opening up my toys and finding out how they work, or just discovering what they looked like inside, and figuring out how to put them back together. or not, and learning an important lesson.

in any case where the target user is adult and they still tamper proof it: especially fuck that.
