two things:
1)neck butt lol
2)yeah, they actually line up perfectly. so i guess that means either filling the current holes, sanding the neck butt (lol again) or just dealing with the gap, which seems to be the most prudent decision. i plan to order the bridge/pups this week so i'll have them next week. this will all hash itself out then. i suppose. so looking forward to this!

I'd say get a bridge, stick it all together and see if it works and intonates (I'd be surprised if it didn't). You're not doing anything permanent that way, and you've nothing invested, like. Then, you'll know if you have the choice of deciding between rounding the ends or getting a new pickguard. Personally, I think I'd go with the pickguard option, because it doesn't really make sense to me to start changing the shape of a piece of wood when a bit of plastic will do the same job.

Seriously, he's a Scottish Fold/Persian mix a close friend of ours friend saved from a less-than compassionate Korean seller in Beijing. Poor guy, he's the nicest cat ever with a perpetual scowl and has an on-off case of feline atopy that causes heavy itching leading to open sores and continuous scabbing around his neck area. The vet is presently boarding him with a new hypo allergenic treatment to hopefully lessen the mange-like condition possibly incurred by nothing more than common dust mites , which we hope will be more effective than the treatments of the past that often only last about 3 months before worsening again.
He is a real sweetie nonetheless, and we're hoping for the best this time around.
