Willis wrote:Thx for the replies... Im not getting the new neck anymore, my luthier did a Refret on my old neck and he says it came out perfect and well...it was cheaper than a new neck...just hope it doesnt look like shit now...but this guy is really good so i doubt he did a shitty job...plus it wasnt that cheap either...

I might order one of those Eden necks though, Im trying to put back together my first guitar that is 15 years old.. (peavey predator) its basically a strat clone...I think the strat shape are too used up so instead of ever buying a strat ill just fix that one up with good parts and pickups...well the neck will probably be cheap if i get one of these...

anyway,, thanks for the advise, once i get my guitar back (I also did some other mods: bridge pup Super Distortion and Neck Air norton, new Red tort pickguard from Jennies on ebay) ill take some pics together with my mustang refinished in surf green and post them.

cheers
Please report back if those Eden strat necks fit the Peavey Predator. That was also my first ever guitar and I still have it.

I never had a problem with my predator's neck (I'm jumping on teh bandwagon since it was my first electric guitar, too). The pickups were for shit, but everthing else was (is) surprisingly solid.

The only "problem" I have with it is that I hate maple fretboards, it's a righty strung backwards, the headstock looks stupid 80's, and I wore the fuck outta the frets on it.

I'm thinking more along the lines of putting a new neck on with a rosewood fretboard, and putting a bridge humbucker in it.

That's more than enough problems for me. I'll admit, my frets are a bit worn, too.

I gotta admit that my peavey predator took a lot of shit for many years and it never let me down...well back then i didnt care about single coil or humbucker, nor transistor or tube amps...

i got mine for 94`x-mass...it was red with a white pickguard..my first electric, not my style of colors and shape but at that moment it was the coolest thing in the planet... I never had a case, just carried it everywhere we had practice or to my friends house...
once i even walked 3 kilometers under the rain after getting kicked out of a friends house for being drunk...i had to cover my guitar with my flannel shirt all the way to my house  ...later on i covered it with stickers...then on day got bored (by then i bought a lespaul epi that i no longer own) and took it apart and sanded down really shitty the paint... i lost almost all the parts, still got the neck but its really beaten and I cant stand the maple fretboard... ahhh memories...

I want to get a good new bridge (know of any??), will get it refinished in black and want to put a single Humbucker tort guard with a zebra JB humbucker ive got somewhere in my closet. Maybe ill try out the eden neck, i guess its worth it... i even thought about putting in a Floyd Rose as i dont have any guitar with one but naahh...

Mine is black. Never had a case or bag for it either, got it when I was 13 and abused the fuck outta it. My dad threw it down the stairs once during a blowout I had with him. Fucking thing is a rock. All it really needs is a new switch, bridge bucker, and better neck.

1. We don't use the metric system in the states (mostly)

2. Suck it
