There are more V shapes and V builders I like. I have to do a part 2.
But Later

I don't exactly hate flying V's, its cool in the right hands...just not mine. I don't think I"d ever own one, even if it was free. I can't rock something like that.

I was tempted, but the Classic V is still the best. I tried to do some research on my V as to what brand it is. The seller (local tutor and friend) suggested an Ibanez Rocket Roll but its not because it has a standard headstock, so it could be one of the lawsuit models as he swears down it is Ibanez. After various refins there is no way of knowing really, unless i met some Vintage Ibanez nerd.

Yeah, you're right. I'd have expected the '67 to be like Hendrix's and I'm sure it had PAF-style 'buckers when I saw Wishbone Ash a couple or three years back because he pushed the strings down onto the covers to get some squeaky sounds in "Phoenix". I reckon someone got the wrong picture there.
I got the Epiphone V. Not my most loved guitar but a must in my collection.
To me a Vee and Explorer have something special about them and that is mostly related to their inception,
way back in the end of the 50ties.
Only the original issue (of which the Epiphone is an affordable copy) gets my attention.
I think the one I'd be most likely to buy would be the Ashton sig. Probably in orange. mmm p90s.
maybe an Eastwood Rocket 6, the EKO/Roke thing?
nah, probably not. I'm halfway through Julian Cope's book 'Japrocksampler' and there was a page dedicated to the silly thing, so I went looking for photos.
