Thread title made me laugh, Lamp; I know the feeling. I sold off my Jag to raise some funds just before my first was born (bought a bike and a Tokai SG with the money), then had a real moment of "I'm not going to have any money for the next eighteen years" when my daughter came along, so sold loads of stuff and bought my Jazzmaster.
Ironically I couldn't have been more wrong, and have had loads of gear this last twelve months, but hey ho. It's nice getting something bespoke like that, isn't it?

Very very nice. There's just something about those thin finishes and the way they wear - yr body just gets imprinted on the guitar and makes it yr own. It's one of my favorite features on the old Danos.

Glad to know it's not all over for the next 18 years Tim - gives me hope!

Awesome to hear she's singing right back to you, Lamp.
Forgive the off topic ICEYbomb, but a Swedish dude on the TDPRI has a similar transparent black/fudge job done on his take of Fender's Custom Shop
La Cabronita Especial. I dig it in a curious way, the same way I find your choice of stained and oiled Brazilian mahogany quite charming...
