id never seen an IRL shot of an sx instrument, only the cold, sterile studio shots on their site. looks legit!

I would buy a 24" Strat if they were available in the UK. Rondo do ship overseas but it costs a bit and there is always the worry of it being damaged in transit, then you have custom fees to think of too.

i remember when those jag basses were first posted.
they do look nice, but if i got one i would want to mod it more towards a jazzmaster styled bass, thro a few rollers in there.
a toggly, stuff like that.
that was a really good review tho.

im into it. id take the stupid jazzbass bridge cover off, but its cool that its mahogany, and like 110 dollars.

why is it that its no problem to copy fender's body styles pretty much exactly, but rarely do you see an exact sg copy or exact les paul copy?

im talking new guitars here.

rondo is full of pretty much spot on fender copies, and then a bunch of gibsons with funky horns, and weird butts.

Their Les Pauls are damn close as well. So close in fact, Gibson made them change their headstock to what it is now. It was "open book" style.

I think it's because of what each company bothered to trademark, IIRC. I believe Gibson trademarked the entire design of their guitars, whereas Fender only trademarked the headstock. Or maybe Gibson just has better lawyers.

and the cutaway isnt right either, the horn is sort of short, and overly rounded.

i assumed it was a trademarking thing. i recall gibson suing PRS over the singlecut, and it wasnt even close to as similar as tokai's, dillion's, or rondo's copies. in fact, it wasn't THAT similar at all. kind of a ridiculous case. iguess thats why it didnt stick, or something. singlecuts are back on the market, ugly fuckers.

That's more of a Venetian cutaway, as opposed to the Florentine cutaway.

As fat as I know, a sharp cutaway is Florentine, and a rounded one is Venetian.

That picture isn't really a good example, as it's douglas (I think?) as opposed to Agile. Agile has it pretty much spot on except the horn.

With the recent (ridiculous) Fender price hikes - it would be a really good move for Agile to start working the jag/jazz market. The Turser/SX offshoots are hideous.
