the humming that jazzmasters are known for

As in that they're single coil pickups? I didn't realises Jazzmasters were specifically known for this.. seeing as mine doesn't hum..

its just that every jazzmaster (usually an original one) hummed and i do realize thats probably because of age. but i wasnt sure if the new ones hummed or not i was just told if it was going to it would be at a louder volume and i did just test it out and it is quiet so i take back what i said about them being notoriously noisy
