Fender always does something corny like that. The best color had to get the pale neck. Are they doing the rosewood "60's" model in new colors too.

And where's all the strat hatez?
It's hard to tell because they're all so factory fresh... personally I think they need time to settle in, the strings & what not etc. We A-B'd it with an £1700 Eric Johnson strat which looked close aesthetically to the 50's CV and there wasn't much in it really. Especially not £1300 worth.

Very pleased with the pups in my tele, not so happy with the wiring which became intermittent after a few days.. also the jack socket which became loose (tele thing) and the nut which is made of cheese. But apart from that, it's sweet.

It looks like the White/Gold and LPB/WHITE NECK ones are the 50s and the CAR one is the 60s.

That white and gold one is hideous. They should have skipped that all together. I see what you're saying. Bummer.

Yeah, it's completely heinous. Really don't want. It would look a million times better with a white or black pickguard.

They completely lucked out on this one:

And this one:

Except for the goofy thumbrest

The aesthetics are perfect, but I pretty much despise the way the other Strats and the Duo-Sonic look.

used to frequent the guitartabs.cc one. theres alot of shredder cunts and alot of white man blues cunts but also some very very knowledgeable people.

it's mostly dead as a dodo nowadays.

i tried offset once, never again. tried jag-stang too in '06 but never registered.

I'd second this but I don't think it'll ever happen.

I really don't mind them doing combi-guitars like the cyclone, jagmaster, '51, etc. but I wish they would stop putting strat trem systems on everything.

Hard tail jagmaster? yes please.

In the meantime these strats and the duo really have me keeping an eye on what they'll do next. It'd be nice if Fender used squire a bit more experimentally, released some "ghasp" new designs.
