Sweet, we've resorted to nit-picking at typos.

Well the typo is no big deal at all, at least it was unique I guess.

Nitpicking = one word, no hyphen.

Yep. And it does for me.

Sort of like these, ugly as sin but it calls to me...

What do two humbuckers and a TOM bridge/tailpiece have to do with jazzmasters?

It's not unique. They made more than one.
I know this, but how many do you see being played?
My daughter played mine at the jam last month.
Ben Kweller has 3 and plays them all the time.
Rod Von Bon had one made.

Good God, you can hardly see his shirt at all in that picture! What's wrong with the guy?

That daphne blue swinger depresses me. It's a bit like getting the 'Plastic Surgery Diasters' line-up of the Dead Kennedys together to perform some of the classics, and then switching Jello for someone else and making the whole thing a complete mess. All of the parts were there for something perfect and it's come out less appealing than sprout soup.

For what it's worth, my ideal Fender would be a daphne blue Musicmaster II with A width 24" neck. The only swinger I've ever seen any good is the comp orange sublimedo one.

I think it's safe to say the Swinger/Maverick is one guitar that will never be reissued. But if you love Fenders as I do, I wouldn't mind having one hanging around. Might need a few stiff drinks before playing, though.
