hahahaha. my uncle, who's been playing guitar since like '69 or something, says humbuckler instead of humbucker.

i've never had the heart to correct him since i can only assume he's been doing the same for forty years.

He also, when trying out an electric guitar unplugged, still switches pickups and adjusts tone and volume, and nods approvingly at the sound. He also had, in the past, a Fran-like guitar buying habit, but would come back from the shops with the weirdest shit (including several Flying V's, each time vowing never to buy one again). When he went travelling in Canada, on his second day there he spent all his money on a secondhand Clapton sig acoustic, and had to spend three weeks in a fleapit motel waiting for his return flight.

Annoyingly, he's also an ace guitarist.

How do I know it's Bigger? Because it is. The Body is noticeably larger, you fuckin' n00b.

Hmmmmm, Google images says that they're about the same size. If anything, the jaguar is slightly bigger.

Weren't the Caster names stolen from Gretsch, who had the Broadcaster? Now that Fender owns them, they should take moar liberties.

nah, I think that was just a coincidence. Leo Fender was originally a radio repair tech and was into the advancing technology of the time. I think he was trying to latch onto the popularity and futuristic image of television. it just so happened that gretsch had the Broadkaster drums and they called fender out about it.

Didn't it have something to do with MOAR CHROME which the (then un-named guitar) had a lot of, so maybe in looking at cars, Leo spotted a shiny Jaguar one day and thought "Bingo."

Because Leopard sounded awkward.

Fast yes, but I always think of Jaguars (the auto) large spacious luxury vehicles, especially now since the XK is the only coupe their producing now.
Checked, the only sporty Jaguar produced in the time when the Jag was produced was the E-type. But it could be that it's luxurious like the car.

in 1962 the jaguar was the top of the line "luxury" model for fender.
