I have the Harmony version of #7 in the catalogue (Harmony Silouette H19 I think is the model)...looks to be the same except the pickups are slanted and the tremolo is by hagstom apparently. I bought it to satisfy my craving for a Jag/Jazzmaster type guitar (before I knew much about them other than the "look"). I really like it but the tremolo is pretty stiff and the tuners are really bad...needs a little work I guess. I have since gotten an AVRI Jag and now realise that they are completely different animals...the Harmony is much more mellow and beefier sonding... but different is good. The neck binding and blocks are really nice.Noirie. wrote:I want that black hollobody for my JAMC moments.DanHeron wrote:Why don't they still do stuff like this?! My first eBay purchase is also in that Catalogue...#2. I was disappointed when I got it because there was a slight back-bow in the neck and ended up selling it rather than getting it fixed up...I regret selling it, I even had a replacement pick guard custom made for it...it was a beautiful guitar, especially with the black finish all chequed (correct term?) from aging.
I also had an old Harmony amp which I also sold after I got a late 70's SF Champ. I guess I have a bit of a facination with the old Harmony (and similar) stuff. Here are some pics from the eBay autions I bought them from :
