just had a play on it. the strings are dead but the neck feels amazing, its nicely worn and the frets are surprisingly well for its age and how much its been played
it has strap locks, which i'm not sure about yet, i've never had strap locks yet but i guess i'll keep them. It also had a fender strap with the other half of the strap locks attatched so good deal.

things i noticed
jack is loose, will tighten that
top horn strap button is loose as it is on many guitars, will tighten that i hope, if its stripped i'll fill it with a golf tee like i did on the P Rails Tele
Needs a setup with some heavier strings, probably 10s for this one i'm feeling.
Can't wait to hear the Nocaster pickups!!!

Also needs a tele switch knob thingy, common on teles, they fly off if you rock too hard... anyone have one kicking about???
Gaurd is a single ply white which is cool, i'll keep it stock for a while.

The guy i bought it from is the same guy that bought my POD when i sold it a few months back, small world. good guy though.
I said on new years day that 2009 is the year i get a telecaster, now i have 3.

HEY FUCK YOU!

that thing looks great, although the headstock looks a tad suspicious. what's up with the logo placement and serial? it looks phoney, but it could be this beer i'm smoking.

NVM: Looks fine (tuners look like squier shizz)

I'm really not bothered about wether its legit or not. Its all about the guitar itself for me and that is a great score

And how EXACTLY do you smoke beer hotrod??

As soon as I saw that smudge I was thinking "Squier Series".

What a chonst. Still a good guitar for the money, but that is dishonest on his behalf.

Sent him an email asking him if he was aware of this
Still an amazing guitar that is just as good as my other MIM Fender, but FEELS better as its been played and worn in a bit more.

I have one of those Squire Searies in the Strat version, its been modded to death but still a great player.
The neck is real glossy and slick unlike the other standard MIM necks.
