jag.uar.

story similar to paul's, although it doesn't begin as far back as when i was 10. shortly after i started playing as a teenager, i started reading up on all fenders, and the historical references to the jag all said it was their flagship, the cadillac of guitars. i didn't even know anything about scales and whatnot back then, but i knew all the chrome and switches meant it was versatile and expensive. i got addicted to the shape when i started playing my toronado which was followed by my avri jag purchase a couple years later. i know they're huge, but somehow the contours and grooves make it the most comfortable guitar i've ever played. . . hands down.

<3 jags

Broncos because the trems kick ass.

Practically, I like my '64/66 MusicMaster the best. No trem to give you tuning nightmares, and no switches to get in the way while picking (my Duo and Mustang switches annoy the hell out of me - and I only use the neck pup). My '65 Mustang is probably my favorite short scale guitar (I stop tailed it and recessed the neck pup switch). My '65 Jag holds a special place in my heart, though - Its just a little on the clunky side for stage use - although I love it dearly and do gig with it.

Anyways, old Musicmasters for me.

well, considering I've got a 66 mustang, a shadstang I put together and a 69 mustang bass it'd make sense to say mustangs. I am gassing for a Jag, tho.

I would have to agree with the people who said the Super Sonic.
I like mine, and it is pretty unique when it comes down to it.
Sure people have their Jags and JM's but I don't see very many people rocking a Super Sonic.
That, and the blue sparkle finish is delicious.

Used to be my Jagmaster, now my Cyclone. However might be getting a Jag Stang or a Mustang soon so who knows?

I've only recently purchased a shortscale, so I only really have the Jagmaster to go on, but I've played MaMo's stangs and they are smooth as fuck.

Does the Cyclone's 24 3/4 scale count? Because other wise it's the jag-stang in my opinion

Ibanez ORM ftw.

I'm also pretty fond of Fender Broncos and Jagstangs. Jaguars and Mustangs make me go a big rubbery one too, but none of them have the Ibanez's neck.

My favorite is the Mustang based on feel alone. Though looking back I haven't played many shortscales (only a Mustang, Bronco, and CV Duo-sonic)
I'd like to try a Jaguar, I'd imagine it combines what I like about Jazzmasters and Mustangs.

I'll have to go with the Mustang, although I love the Jaguar for it's versatility. I started out on a sonic blue Mustang MIJ from the early 90's just like the ones Cobain preferred. I upgraded the bridge pickup to a Fender red Lace Sensor so I could get some humbucking sound, which was great for crunch tones, but it has a nice clean sound too.

bear with me, its my first post. i dont actually own a shortscale now but from what i've tried out i'd say i like the mustang for comfort plus the neck is just butter. I'd like to get a jag later down the road for the more versatile tones though. so ill be definitely getting a mustang soon. preferably olym white
