Good god...

For the body I'm thinking "Air Force Blue" (the first color on the website). I don't like dark navy blue too much but didn't want a blue that was super light or super bright either.

For the pickguard, how about a bright orange. Check out "Safety Orange" on the website.

For toppers, how about a thin outline of a subtle yellow color (or maybe a yellow with a very light tint of gold to it - but not a straight up gold color). Something like "Lemon" from the website. Maybe go slightly creative with the outline - maybe make it a little blotchy (cloud-like blothcy).

I'm not sure what other info you want. I guess the theme is sort of a somewhat awkward, standout-ish guitar trying to be modest. So maybe headstock, neck and other parts could seem relatively normal.
This will be phenomenally ugly methinks... but he wants what he wants.

I think I'l burst the PG, Orange to yellow to satisfy his request for a yellow outline.
Christ on a crutch, I thought I had bad taste.

I really like that blue, but Jesus. Next to airplane-landing-orange and yellow/gold?

Can't wait to see it.

Hotrod if you have any interest where this is going... it's going to the ex-singer of this band.

http://www.myspace.com/machschau

He's been in numerous other projects but this is the only one with a remaining web presence.

The sad tale of a Baltimore band... Mach Schau! was on the cusp of success. Peaking the interest of Dischord, but Ian kept flaking out of meetings but kept ensuring them he was very very interested in them. They got bigger and bigger and then the same thing happened to them that happens to all great Baltimore band... day jobs and PHDs. :(

dude thanks for reminding me. this buying a house has been more of a dick pull than i imagined. she's all stressed out, wondering where my money goes (i can't tell her about the ring, and she'll soon find out how many amps/guitars i have), and when i get her calmed down, her mom has to wind her back up.

just keep buying my bottom-enders as i hock them, and shit'll start heading toward the same sock... ;)

So I'm not the only person who's ever played Um Jammer Lammy? I LOVE that game! I busted it out a school once, that went over well. "What the hell is this? This is insane!"

FINALLY got around to finishing this. Pics to come tomorrow. Gifting to my friend on Saturday. I went with a slightly darker blue (almost LPB) to offset the ugly a bit. It's still atrocious.
