How does the wide range pickup sound to your ears?
Jeez, sorry to hear that. How are you managing it and are you on any drugs/therapies for it.westtexasred wrote: I have MS and I am retired on disability so I will sometimes stay home and play my guitars all day long.More often I play at night while my girlfriend is working.
Thanks man.Well,it's not a big deal to me because I have had it for a long long time,I was diagnosed over 26 years ago and I probably all ready had it for 10 years before that. But I am really lucky in someways because it has not had many physical affects that people would notice.I have a really good doctor so I am in good hands.jcyphe wrote:Jeez, sorry to hear that. If you don't feel like talking about it and answering these questions sorry for asking.
My sister has MS.She's had it about 30 years that she's aware of.She has her good and bad days but the bad seem to outnumber the good lately.I hope they find a cure for this shit soon.westtexasred wrote:Thanks man.Well,it's not a big deal to me because I have had it for a long long time,I was diagnosed over 26 years ago and I probably all ready had it for 10 years before that. The only thing that is bad is my hands are somewhat clumsy and my memory is very bad(I am like that guy in "Memento") and both of these things make it very hard for me to teach my self to play guitar but I do the best I can. It is hard for me to remember songs so I learned how to read music a little so I play music from books that I have bought at thrift stores. When I want to learn something new I watch youtube videos or copy tabs from the internet. My main focus is on learning Sex Pistol , Ramones and other kind of punk rock I can find.I also like to learn stuff like Marc Bolan,Gary Glitter,Mick Ronson and also 50s and 60s intrumental music.
Thank's man, sorry to hear about your sister.Hope things will get better for her.bassintom wrote: My sister has MS.She's had it about 30 years that she's aware of.She has her good and bad days but the bad seem to outnumber the good lately.I hope they find a cure for this shit soon.
I enjoy playing(trying to play) most of the same music as you.I also throw some country stuff in just because most of it is so easy to play.Using the youtube/tab system works for me also.
There used to be a Telecaster Custom thread at the Fender Forum but I think they got banned for some reason and one of those guys started The '72 Custom Club(link)robert(original) wrote:aen, i remember that!
i think it was when i tried to assemble it the first time and the wires got clipped between the wood and the guard.
and i rembmer calling up sub, and being like, DUDE, WHAT FUCKING WIRE DOES WHAT?
ffff, you guys are all a bit late, mo rocca got his tele custom like.... 4 years ago.
+1 Really sorry to hear that, one of my Auntie's is a sufferer and is now wheelchair bound. The only saving grace is that her husband is one of the most amazing people I have ever known and he augments her standard of life and general level of happiness more than I can conceive of.jcyphe wrote:Jeez, sorry to hear that. Yeah this was a real "impulse" buy.Haven't really figured out how to pay for this one yet.hotrodperlmutter wrote:god damn that thing is luscious.
Mine's not a Fender, it's an old Cimar, so it had a standard sized humbucker in it from the get-go. I'd really recommend getting a custom guard so you can use a standard sized pickup though - really opens up what pickups you can drop in (including GFS's humbucker sized P90s - yum!).brandon. wrote:hey benecol,
where'd you order that pickguard from?
I'm about to put together a telecaster custom and I'm thinking about just ordering the replacement guard from GPR,
but will a regular humbucker look dumb in the widerange humbucker cut-out?
how'd you solve the problem?
