I refuse to spend money on heating oil or any other luxuries. The cold is a myth perpetrated by oil salesmen. Every time Winter rolls around, I sit down with the bastard and I stare it out and every year it runs off again. This year I'm chasing it out of town.

How much dirt is too much dirt for a board...

Currently my board is a pitchblack>E.C. Thunder>MBM Fender Blender>Fredrick Grumbly Wolf>Fredrick Harmonic Percolator>Fab Chorus>Fab Flange>MBM A/B/Y Switcher +Boost

Plus sometimes I like fizzy harshness of my Arion SD-1. Seems like an awful lot of dirt. The E.C. Thunder knocked out my green muff and TSA, but I have a hard time giving up anything else. There are sounds only the blender can make, the grumbly wolf doubles as metal clanking madman and tame overdrive with the flick of a switch and the harmonic perc is great for going just over the edge. And the thunder... well you know.

So I think I'll be adding a memory boy... is there anything my board is missing that you guys feel is essential? a phase pedal, tremolo pedal, compressor? Would adding more dirt be extreme over kill? I have had my eye on a Rat and a behringer bass OD for a while.

THERE IS NEVER TOO MUCH DIRT. all of the below do their own special things.

MBM Harmonic Percolator (currently WIA, need to get around to sorting that) > Dwarfcraft Great Destroyer > Behringer Ultrafuzz > MXR Bluebox > (this is where my two boards are usually seperated, hence the modulation and boost being sandwiched between dirt) > MBM Saltbooster > Behringer Flange thingy > Danelectro Transparently Homophobic Overdrive > EHX Russian Big Muff > Danelectro Cool Bigot Fuzz > Boss DD-3 > Marshall RF-1.

You need to get that Behringer. It's pretty good. It might not be identical to the Boss* but it's well worth the entrance fee.

* - well, we wouldn't fucking know, because I never did that fucking demo.

So I'd not be a madman for adding a rat and a Bass OD to this mess?
Thing is once I add the memory boy I think I'm gonna be out of space (kinda big that one is). I suppose I'd drop the chorus with the MB on board... but I'm gonna have to build a bigger board. The MBM switcher is already banished to the floor as is.

hahaha no.

if paul thinks they're decent enough i might add one of those behringer bass ODs into the mix.

it'll take the place of the dano TOD i expect so i can sort of justify it to myself.
the TOD is just there because i haven't bothered to take it off really. i can get a much nicer OD sound by setting the TT right and giving it a little surprise sex saltbooster.

My current space conundrum... imagine a Memory boy on there and the chorus missing. Why are all the bad ass pedals so fucking huge?

It's weird but I feel bad for my arion and my green muff now, since they didn't make the "board" cut.
