I've been playing with it more deeply for the last few hours - it really works very well. The noise gets worse at night (WTF?!?!) - much worse than what you could hear in the video. Still, the pedal filtered it out beautifully.
As for digital artifacts - this afternoon I was testing to see where its limits were, so I obviously kept finding them. Playing normally there were no artifacts at all. Hearing the guitar without buzz for the first time in months also brought out new subtlety - I can hear that I need to get a couple loose parts fixed

.
Whatever the filtering mechanism, it doesn't seem to interfere with harmonies from the guitar. Jazz chords, even M7ths and M7b9s, came through clearly with no digital distortion. I've been totally impressed overall.
Also - what is the best technique for micing an amp with a LD condenser? The proximity effect in that video was terrible - I definitely would have redone it had my friends not been dragging me to dinner.

It definitely seems to be doing the job. Get another one to sort out your hair.

HAHA I gave up on my hair. I'm content just to look like Kate Beckinsale from Underworld:
But you know, not attractive like.

I dunno. When I saw your slender arms I had visions of them wrapped around my chest while you ride pillion on a powerful Norton I ride speeding through dark country lanes, taking corners a little too fast so that you'll hold me a little closer. Mmmmm.
