Don't understand the "Marshalls are pricey" thing.
You can get JMP/JCM800 2x12" Combo second hand for less than £400 all day.

I was suggesting these models are pricey, they look budget to me and as you just pointed out you can buy tried & trusted models second hand for considerably less.
Maybe they're ace and once someone high profile says so everyone will be buying them, but judging by the response in this thread people are'nt overly impressed.

do you think it would be more expensive in the US because Marshall is a british brand or w/e? That sounds like a ripping deal. 700 bucks for a JCM800? DO WANT!

Well yeah, they're more expensive, but we get fucked on Fenders over here. It's £649 for a Hot Rod Deluxe, that's like $1300 when the exchange rate is strong, it's because they're exported and then marked up.
I was referring to Proggies "I'll never afford a JCM800" comment Fran, I got one of the most desirable heads for £499 in Mint condition. The combos are less desirable and especially in lightly beaten condition can be had for less tahn these amps on ebay. You just need to set up searches and wait.

On the subject of these, I think it's ace they have independent EQs.
Resonance for added low end thump HAS to be a good thing, right?
3 Gain Levels?
I'm sorry guys, these look fantastic for the price to me.

I'm a skinflint mike, i expect to be drooling at sub £600. Maybe when they become established amps I'll eat my words.

Three of these are sub £600 and the one that isn't is a 2x12". Seems pretty reasonable to me.
Chances as you will be able to find them cheaper aswell elsewhere. I don't really know what people want from amp companies these days. Marshall made the Haze stuff and everyone was like "OMGZ it's too low wattage and EWWW it has FX in it", then they make this simple 2 channel affair and everyone's like "I WANT TEH FOOTSWITCH TO RUB MY FEET WHEN I GET HOME FRMO WORK" or something.

it's more the fact i need the money from the sale of the tweed to fund the 800. i can't buy one without selling the other and i can't sell the other without getting the new one. can't be amp-less. i don't think my old vox would stand up to gigging now.

Just get to saving. With six months of frugality I'm sure you can raise the funds to make a bid and get a Marshall and then sell the Tweed shortly after.
You really need to get over your fear of ebay, it's fucking up your life.

I would buy your pink paisley tele, but have recently worked out that it's only imaginary.

I'd still rather get a Twin or a Super Reverb and load up on Dwarfcraft, Devi Ever and Meik

it's a valid plan, sure, but to me it's apples and oranges. . . er, apples and marshalls in this case.
