I think you might want the hole. that pickguard looks like it will cover the volume knob. so you'll have to shift the volume to where the switch is and then route a spot for the switch.

or you could just drill the guard where the knob is. that might look a little odd though.

looks weird with one knob on the pickguard and one knob off. definitely liking the absence of inlays, though.

One pickup is cool... but this thing will need a solid colour paint job to replace the drab cherry stain. Fiesta red? Phelam blue?

I think that it'd look better and probably sound better with two pickups. Shouldn't be too much more expensive to have two pickups..

yeah, i think right now it's the expense of the pickups that's holding him up.

i got like 15 strat pickups laying around. 6 are out of bullets, 3 are out of a squier standard, and im not sure where the other ones are from.....

i would love another duckbucker if i could find one used at a good price.

duckbucker is the shit dood

yea dude, one pickup guitars ruel.

edit: of course, you know this though. you have plenty of one pickup guitars yourself.

it would be easiest that way though because you wouldn't have to do the switch.

I always liked the ways those looked, I know they are cheaply made and probably play horribly, but I still like them.
