The Akai Headrush does not work great with a distorted signal, layering turns into a mess very quickly, great for clean though. Thats my two penneth.

The RC-20XL is good. Easy to use. A bit expensive but its worth it i think. It's basically a record pedal, and a stop pedal. And if you hold the record pedal for 2 seconds it deletes the last loop recorded. That's it really. Its super easy to get the hang of.

Our bassist has the Digitech JamMan, that is definitely the route i will take in the future for a Looper/Sampler.

I like the looper on the Line 6 DL4, But I would not buy the pedal for the looping. Its just kinda a fun add on to a great delay pedal. The Digitech jam man is sweet. Last year my old band was in a studio and they had one there and in the down time all I did was play with it.

Never, ever buy a Lo Fi Loop Junky. It's fucking ridiculously priced and really, really limited.

They don't cut through worth a crap live.

If you loop something and then go to a preset with the blend lower, the volume of the loop will also decrease. Since i use the delays with so much different blend settings that's a problem for me. But it is a great looper, i wouldn't mind having two and using one just has a looper. it's really the best pedal i've ever had, i never had so much fun playing guitar before i had it

You can get round this by making a loop, then switch modes (ie. out of loop mode) and the blend control won't effect loop volume anymore.

I was watching demos of the Akai Headrush. Wow. I want one. I love how, in the analog tape mode, it can be outputted to upto 5 amps. I want to try having the dry signal in a distorted amp and the delays all in clean amps. or vice versa. I could spend hours messing with one.

Maybe i have a faulty pedal or something, it doesn't matter if i go to a different mode or preset, if i change the blend knob the blend of the loop is going to change

I wanted to try this at Doogfest The First but never managed to. I did enjoy the headrush then I played it though. I heard there was an E3 version coming though.

The Headrush is OK. I got mine cheap from Gumtree, I think there was one on the Glasgow one recently Euan.

*edit* cancel that. It was the first version and was priced at twice what I got the newer one for.

this is how it works, the blend knob always affects the loop level, didnt understand how ti can not control that.
its quite annoying actually
