I have been thinking about that sjm for a while. But I need to put enough daylight between my cheap guitar purchases to make it look like I have a bunch of cheap guitars instead of I just spent a bunch of monies on cheap guitars.

I like what this guy did with a bigsby but agree it is too close to bridge.

The one in the video looks cool with the Bigsby. I'd still go for one with the JM style trem though.

I has an SX jazz bass and it's coo. Kinda like a Squier that's ever so slightly harder to play, I guess. Electronics aren't good (noisy as hell, one pot broke) and the routing under that cover for the bridge pickup is all kindsa sloppy (probably why this one ended up getting covers). The stock nut was shitty too, I replaced it first restring. I also put flatwounds on it but not sure if I like them on a jazz bass yet. I prefer them on bass in general, but having a jazz bass with roundwounds was awesome in retrospect. I could play Disco Inferno and have it sound good.

It's my main bass now anyway.

I didn’t think they looked that good on the rondo web site, but this pic has changed my mind they look cool when you actually see it being played. You picked the best colour too!

It actually looks all-white on the website which I thought I'd prefer, but I'm glad it's got a hue to it now. It also has one of those "on-accident" super flamey necks you'll occasionally get on a fender-style.

Charlie Pickett, who is performing Saturday Nov. 8 at Alligator Alley with Psycho Daisies and Fraulein, was joined onstage last Saturday in New York by Yo La Tengo's Ira Kaplan for a cover of the Flamin' Groovies' Slow Death.

I do not have this guitar, but I have an SX strat and I play it all the time. Rondo has a very good return policy so if there is a problem with the product you can send it back; hassle-free. The first guitar they sent me had a twist on the neck and they sent me a new one that I was happy with. The paint is great on this thing. The fret ends were nice. The tuners were ok. They held tune just fine and really didn't need replacement, but they were kind of stiff to turn. The bridge and saddles worked as well, but not great. I put a big heavy tremolo block (GFS) in it and that was a super investment. The pickups, in my opinion are nice sounding with a vintage tone. The wood is adler and is good.

I got some replacement parts from GFS (bridge, saddles, tremolo block and tuners). The original parts were ok but for a little more, these were better. I rewired the 5 way switch and set up the vol and tone pots the way I wanted them. I really didn't do anything that most people don't do to any guitar they have to get it how they want it. So, all in all, I am in way under $200 U.S. and I luvs it.

I think because they have such a good return policy and there is a lot of info about Rondo's guitars on the intertubes, that most people are happy with the product they get.
