Thats another pedal I need to look into that fuzzwar. I remember seeing the tonefactor demo for it and thought it sounded good. unfortunately no store around here sells them.

Apparently some of the DBA ones suffer a nasty volume drop.

i like raveonettes' use of fuzz, even when it's just to create loads of noise hiss in the background, it works for them i think. but then again. i love them.
as for fuzz and chords. i've not that much experience, it's true powerchords are more easy to make them sound what you want them to sound like through fuzz, most fuzzes work for that. but for open and full chrods or more complex chords it's always tricky, it either sounds too messy there's no point playing it like that or it sounds too dull. i have a booster in front of my great destroyer, i put chords through it. blue box is mainly for single note stuff. i had a fulltone ultimate octave and that one tracked really well too for more complex chords (the few i did use lol)
check a band called zebulon pike, they use lots of weird chords with a lot of fuzz and dist on it, but i really don't know what fx they use, just bigass exspensive amps.

Just checked out that band Zebulon Pike, they are pretty sweet. Gotta love a band who has a song named "Behold the Wizzards Fountain" haha

i use a big muff, and it works with open chords quite well.
