It comes with a hard case and that is a big plus. Besides it's a Jaguar!

I love the olympic white with dark red tort on your Jag....one of the best combos. That bright red one is a little much.

Still - if you want vintage correct, the original oly whites had guards which were closer to red than brown. Here's a couple of 1963s:

Actually it's much darker in life than in pics - for some reason my camera emphasises reds. Even pictures in shade look too bright. This one is closer:

Ta - it's a 1983 SQ Squier Japan. Wonderful neck, sounds great.

I just traded for that exact same guitar! Hence, the reason I am on this forum. Right now it's under going work but the first thing that is going to happen is a new pickguard. It is awful.

White guard, I reckon. Colour-wise that is like the 2-tone sunbursts on early Strats and Teles, so a white guard would give it an old-school Fender look.

Thanks! The previous owner put a tune-o-matic bridge and put a single coil size humbucker in it. So after all of that is done, it may get a new finish. Haven't decided. Depends on how it will look after I put a black pick guard on it.

Jap fotoflame finish is weird. Let us know what the deal is if you strip it.

It's a layer of photo film under the top poly coat, isn't it?

Too kind. If you want more, here's the thread on it.
(edit) duh - I realise you were discussing it with me there! I still love it, even more so actually. Big meaty neck on it, must suit my hands I guess.
