The Epiphone is 5 watts. Depending on the gig, it'll get mic'd up. Some smaller gigs it's fine as it is. It's plenty loud.
Bear in mind we don't play with a drummer. To be frank though, I'd say that when cranked, this would be loud enough to practise with a drummer, but maybe not gig with one.

If the gig is mic'd it's no problem at all.
Tiny amp + big cab sounds like a matter of circumstance more than a choice to me but what do I know? Maybe this is exactly what Paul needs...
Edit: well there you go...

I gigged for a while with just an overdrive pedal and I did fine (before that I just used the footswitch on my amp), so I think just an overdrive pedal would be my choice.

I would pick my modded russian muff. I can do delays and some different dirts with my other cyber twin channels, but nothing can recreate this muff. So I would go with that.

i guess that's it really isn't it, something an amp can never do
if you could have 'any' amp that is.
no amp can do dwarfcraft, so tgd lol
aen amp with feedback and random noise knobs, dew it. also NO mids knob, mids are on maximum always.

ehx cathedral, it also has delay... But if the amp doesn't have a dirty channel i would prefer having a reutz rat or a super fuzz

it's my weakness, it's why i fucking suck at mixing stuff..i boost mids on everything so it just becomes a soup. i don't have balance.

Tee-hee. Now, reading this made me think that it possibly
wouldn't be a fuzz, since with the boost, gain and volume up on my minimat things are fuzzy as fuck, but who am I trying to kid? Of
course it would be a fuzz. My IC Muff is my current weapon of choice, but if it
had to be just one pedal, I'd choose my Chunky Cheese, since the four modes allow me to do fuzzface-ish, muff-ish, bionic muff-ish and splattery nonsense.

I only own two pedals, plus a multi thingy and two tiny amps. I told you I was freaky.
I bought a Big Muff from Coyote and a Tewbscreamer from PacaFelix. I can't live without gain and reverb. I guess I need to look at something like a Rat.

I could easily make do with only my Marshall JVM - all the versatile drive sounds I could wish for...
But to pick one pedal on top of that, I would have to go for a delay - Carbon Copy is currently on my board, but maybe I'd go with a Memory Man for a few more options.

I always think that a guitar sounds better on it's own when the mids are super-boosted, so I just boost the mids on everything in every song and it ends up sounding silly.

mine would have to be delay.
the crunch/clean channels on my peavey are enough for me. add some delay, and it's primitive hours of fun.

BTW the IC MUff is what Billy Pumpkin used on Siamese Dream - it's a collectors item.
I bet you hate yourself now.

I found out they go for €300 all day long on eBay.de the
very afternon I had drilled a big hole on the back of the pedal to fit a Boss-style DC jack. However, I have no plans to ever flog it, and it was bro-dealed to me, so I'd be a dick to flip it.
Am not arsed in the slightest about Mr Corgan.
