At first I thought "Cool, Gibsons trying something different, but not crazy different"
then I saw this:
► Show Spoiler
THERE'S A GODDAMN HOLE STRAIGHT THROUGH THIS GUITAR
"Front or rear route". "And" is not in that statement

so wait.
they've got a pickguard to which the hardware is mounted, but they've also routed it all the way through so you can get to them from the back?
i don't know whether that's practical or retarded.

i'm surprised nobody pointed that out in the first post. it makes no sense.
pretty sure gibson has a bunch of shit bodies laying around they just decide to chamber and use on whatever.

everything is cnc computer, its just easier to press the same button rather than reprogram the machine. thats big business.
i actually kinda like the metal plates, and the top looks interesting.
the rest of it is complete crap, the paint on the back, the inlays. no thanks.

Programmable active four-band parametric EQ systems for both the magnetic and the piezo pickups, which allow infinite fine tuning of your tone
- Switchable LP-Z High Definition Impedance circuit (low impedance capabilities) built into improved Neutrik jack with both ¼ and XLR outputs
LOLberries and no thanks. At least the Epiphone Ultra II looks like a normal guitar, despite the pukable maple quilting on top...And it sounds decent for the bucks it costs. This one is a no-brainer.

Did you ever finish your alu neck jag? Poast pics pls.
On the tigershark (a much cooler name for a guitar, plane, car... well anything) why would gibson make it ugly on purpose? They're caught between innovation (good in theory, but wildly misguided when we get guitars that fucking tune themselves) and pandering to the lawyers and dentists who can actually afford these guitars. The flamey brownola finish is well dodge.

This guitar looks like it will be a hit with guidos.
Facts:
- Distressed look
- Useless pointy metal shit
- Reference to great cats
All it needs is a decal of some sort of motor racing event that doesn't exist and it'll be ready for the over-cologned masses.
