this guitar is definitely a keeper. . . really fun! in answer to the texas special question, it cuts through nicely with overdrive, and it's sparkly fresh when run clean. definitely going to install a push/pull pot for splitting the humbucker.
one wtf moment on my part. . . i guess i reversed a wire i soldered because the middle position of the switch engages both pickups. . . out of phase with each other. hahahahaha

Yup, just reverse the wiring of one of them to get your tones back

i figured, and i'm pretty sure it's the single coil i reversed as the hardest thing about the project was identifying which pickup was the neck and its wire coding. at least i had to open the damn up again for more upgraydz anyway. . .

Listened to the clips and both sound GEWD. Personally I dig the original setup but again that's personal preference, I'm a single coil guy as you well know.

it's funny, i've kinda come around to that way of preference as well, and i simply adore p90's. my hh jag as a result will be my main player for quite a while to come. we have one song i need to play in drop D tuning which sounded brilliant on this guitar last nigh, so i'm thinking this guitar will be for that and any time i just want to play teh m3t0lz. i'm also way more comfy bringing it to albq's. . . plus, it's just so fun to play. can't say enough about how comfortable the neck is. it's got WAY too much clear coat on it in my opinion, but it makes up for it.

I am still in love with my CV duo, especially since I put the .11s. It is simply a fun guitar to play. Hopefully some of that excessive gloss will rub off with time.
I plan to do another video demo of it soon. My last demo was good , but the .10s caused some tuning issues. It's my highest watched video 'cause there we so few videos about the guitar at the time.

i prefer the neck on my musicmaster that i just got, the neck isn't super glossed up, and the color looks like real wood, whevenever anyone sees my cv they automatically think the neck is plastic, srsly, i have heard 2 people say that it doesn't look like real wood.

The colour I completely agree on. So fucking PALE.

it almost looks like they bleached the wood, or painted over the wood. honestly i have never seen maple so damn pale before(even as raw wood) and the fact that they are ALL that pale, makes me start to think.
