The prices in the USA are definitely more inflated these days. There is a 1977 Musicmaster at Guitar Center going for $600. A bit pricey. The neck is nice on this one. If I ever got this guitar, I would probably convert it to a Duo Sonic or Mustang. Has anyone ever matched up the Musicmaster neck pickup with a Bronco Bridge pickup to make Mustang/Duo Sonic? The Musicmaster pup was pretty butch and wondered if it would match up with a Bronco pup or do you have to get a whole new set of pickups. Not sure about the output levels of each.

bronco pickups are the same as on mustangs, duo-sonics, etc. different eras will have slightly different outputs, from my experience, but they're essentially interchangeable.
however, to make that into a duo-sonic you'd have to route the body and guard, which will elicit a fair few boos and hisses seeing as it looks to be OG. just pay a bit more and buy a duo-sonic, rather than cut up a vintage guitar, especially if you're paying an inflated price for it in the first place. as soon as you route that guitar you'll half its value.
