Cheers dude, it really has been a bit of a struggle. It's not totally silent, but only slightly worse than my Jazzmaster which has served me well live and on record.
It's all strung up, I'm waiting a day for the tension to level out before I give it proper attention.

Although it could of be buzzing because of how the neck was

That's the general idea, but it's always a trade off between lowest possible action and fretbuzz: depends how much of either you'll put up with.
I can live with a bit of buzz (which is generally not noticeable when plugged in) for the sake of a low enough action, I'll make it as CLEAN 'N EEZY as I can.

Cool. Maybe my Jags were wired right then, based on that. The 'phase' thing was what i was thinking when i asked if it was quiet with both pups on because that position should be hum cancelling but kind of dismissed it as it is'nt a grounding issue.
I'd also like to hear other peoples thoughts on this.

Check out the lack of noise at 1:15! There's no noise gate or anything on this recording, although it's all "pedalboard> Boss amp sim".
It's now got no rhythm circuit (kept the pots in for the cosmetics), a Lace Sensor of some description and is strung up with 12-54s. Still needs to be totally setup, but that's my plan for tonight.

Haha. That lace sensor sounds fucking amazing, clean or dirty.
its a lace sensor gold btw. From the chrome dome set, so its wound hotter than usual. Sort of like a 1/4 for Jag.
Again thanks for sorting it out for me. Finally i can enjoy playing it

That noise happens on most Gibsons... next time you try one tap anything metal and it'll do the same. With some amps its more apparent than others. Not sure what it is but I don't think it's anything to worry about...
