Okay. It has always had the original bridge. The tailpiece had a hardtail mounted. It was in a different body. The body actually is from the late 70s too. It is a parts Mustang I came across. I traded for the original (Sunburst) Mustang for a guitar processor I couldn't get $100 bucks for. More info is in the other add I posted. There is also pictures of what the first boy looked like and why I replaced it.

But really, it played awesome. I had it and a Jaguar (I just sold it too. One of those crappy foto-flame) that I'm getting rid because I'm a bass player and just don't need these nice of guitar around. I've already got two others.

Errr . . . the good news is that the buyer backed out

So it looks like I'll be keeping it around awhile! Now, I just need to find a tremolo cheap enough that I still have money to eat for the rest of the semester!

Aftermarket Trem Unit - $46.99 + S&H - doesn't say fender.

65 Trem Unit with no reserve - $17.00 + S&H - 20h left

Genuine Fender Vibrato Unit - $48.99 + $5.99 S&H - i'd buy this one.

i found my '66 unit by searching for mustang 'tremelo' instead of vibrato, or 'tremolo.'

Yeah. A 65 trem went on ebay not too long ago for $25 bucks. Unfortunately, as a broke college student I very rarely have more than $200 at any given time and spending $70 bucks for one always seems a little rough. I think what I'm going to have to do is sell the old body. I saw a poop brown body that was split and missing the top part of the body sell for $80 bucks on the bay. Then I'll turn around and buy one. It will probably take close to a month and I would have liked to keep the original neck with the original body even if it was junk . . .

That's alright. Even if I'm a broke college student, I've got a sweet guitar!

I saw this guitar on CL and he said in an earlier ad that it was a body from year, a neck from another... Is this so???

Yeah.

If you scroll up; the sunburst body was the body originally on the neck. Look at it and you'll see why I replaced it.
