Mine isn't except where it's supposed to be. Like if you run it with a low sample rate you get a lot of digital artifacts. It's the sort of thing where it isn't necessary to use to get a certain sound, it just adds does whatever sound you have dialed in with a low sample rate. In terms of the normal signal to noise ratio it's very good.
I sort of glossed over this explanation with the absolutely useless phrase "as should be expected". Your statement holds true for the Civilian Issue as well. I was a bit wobbly from a few hot toddies and no dinner.

I am greatly looking forward to giving this thing a proper workout this weekend, and I'll see about doing a quick demo of each wave shape in different gain and tone sweeps.

Sorry for the bump, but I just wanted to follow up and add that I sent the mini Geiger Counter (Civilian Issue) back to PGS earlier this week. I did in fact play with it a lot and loud that weekend and ultimately decided that, while it was pretty fuckin' sweet, it just wasn't $200 sweet. It's fun to play with and sounded tits with different synth sounds and drum machines pumped through it, but it didn't really fit with my guitar gear setup as well as I'd hoped. I've also caught the consolidation bug that seems to be going around and I'm selling a bunch of gear off to afford a nice Jazzmaster, so keeping this pedal seemed silly.

I imagine that the big version James owns is definitely $300 sweet, given the extra features and adjustments -- but for me, this one just wasn't worth it.
