I'm removing my previous endorsement of the Danelectro Cool Cat Drive pedal. I was recording over the weekend and I got to really crank my 1969 Carlsbro 50 Top and the pedal just didn't sound good at loud volumes. My modded Rat sounded much better but that died on me in the studio so I had no choice but to use the Cool Cat where I would have used the Rat. I also used my Fredric Effects Harmonic Percolator and that sounded awesome.

I didn't have much luck with gear during recording - I broke my amp too so i've now got to get it fixed together with the Rat so it can return to my board.

I just looked at gearmandudes demo for that and I really don't like it. Not in production anymore, isn't it?

I owned one once - it's a terrible pedal.
