Yar that's a CP with a tuneomatic style bridge so it'd be pretty hard to put a mute on and you'd have to drastically alter the current vibe of the guitar to do so (as a compatible-with-mute shortscale/jazzmaster bridge sounds/feels way different than a Gibson-style one). Plus drill the body for the pivot-cup/spring/whatever, you'd have to do that even if you had the right kind of bridge because Japanese jags were never fitted with mutes (they copied the hole in the pickguard but not the route underneath in the body).
I'd just leave it, a lot of people say they want the mute and then get bored with it quick. I couldn't see myself having it on for more than like, one part of one song.
