Nice buy. I have an RGA121, and an old RG570. The Prestige line is full of extremely well made guitars, at reasonable prices. The RGA is my mainstay for anything that requires humbuckers :)

Welcome to the dark side, Dillon. What kind of pickup does your RGA have? Today i replaced the bridge Dimarzio/IBZ hbu with a dimarzio evolution. This thing SCREAMS now. I might even like the dimarzio better than the duncan JB, which has always been my favorite pickup.

I'm not sure I could get on with the maple guard with those inlays, I dunno, I think that maple needs black inlays otherwise it can look a little washed out or something. I suppose those inlays look good along with the purple-grey guard though, and given the white body, black inlays probably wouldn't work. Is that white binding on the neck?
It is indeed white binding sir. And not the cheap kind that covers the frets either!

Seconded! I'm the proud (if closeted!) owner of a 1987 Charvel Model 2, and it is an amazing player. Just might be the pinnacle of Japanese craftmanship.

I've got an '86 Ibanez proline PL1770, and I absolutely love it. It's the precursor to the RG series, and it's almost the same except for being S-S-H and having rounded edges on the body. Ibanez guitars have always been in a weird place amongst players though, being that they're meant for versatility (and metal of course). Whereas most intense shortscale/fender lovers don't like them because they look like a shredder guitar, most metal players don't like them because they seem "weak" or something compared to a Jackson. It's rather odd.
