Possibly, but it'd have to be in a bigger box and I'd need to rework the layout, and aside from Mark no-one has mentioned it. The bass response of the this pedal always seemed pretty fat to me. Tone controls are always lossy and I'm not really a fan, so if I did add one I'd have to add another switch to bypass it.

And then i'd have to spend more money buying the new versions with the tone controls!

I think i'll try using the Dyna Comp before I commit to creating some kind of tone control as with my extremely rudamentory electronics skills i'm bound to permanantly damage 2 of my favourite pedals if I try and fiddle with them.

It'll mellow up the clean sound, but the pedal's own tonal shape will take over once it's switched on.

Doog's right, it doesn't really work. I have to turn the tone right down to make the difference that I want but then the clean sounds really dull. Also my other fuzz/distortion pedals sound really muddy and have no bite. I suppose I could roll the tone back up when not using the Percolators but that's obviously far to complicated an idea to remember when playing.

Tried the Dyna Comp last night and, although I was playing at neighbour friendly volumes, it seemed to do the trick to tame the high end. It does seem to be quite noisy though and I have to have the sensitivity pot turned down to about 1/4 as I don't like the effect you get with compressors when you hit a note and it compresses it so much that the variations in your playing dynamics are lost, I like just bit of compression to smooth out the sound. Tried before and after distortion/fuzz and it definitely works better before, after it seemed to suck too much treble out of my fuzz pedals and made them sound muddy.

There's an internal trimpot that might be worth messing about with to tame the noise a little. But you're right, it is quite noisy.

Alas, that's one of the side effects of compression- it'll bring your 'peaks' down so make any background noise seem amplified in comparison. Unless it's just hissy generally, in which case, I shall shaddup.

It'll only hiss if you have LOADS of compression. My Guyatone doesn't get hissy until it's nigh on full whack. Dynacomps have way more on tap though I suppose.
