I think there were quite a lot of accurate Japanese copies. Maybe they were built in the same place and just distributed by different brand names? I dunno. This link has a picture of a group of mustangs, all copies:

Some of the brands mentioned are:
Thunder
Navigator
Fresher
Westminster
Watson
etc etc

I think they're pretty interesting. The "Guitar.r.us" ones have Fender parts? Real fender parts? GOLD MUSTANG PARTS. Also what is with the weird square pearl guard, very strange.

I think the Guitars R Us are a small builder of some sort. those guitars look custom built.

I think Thunder is another brand name for Greco because "Super Sounds" and "Brazen Picker Professional" are the same lines used on Greco's Fender copies. I have seen a Greco branded mustang before though. and supposedly teh kurdtz played one.

Cool.

The 'Westminster' and the 'Watson' both are very similar. The logos use the same font and have "electric guitar" as the model. Different tuners though and stuff like that. I think they all look pretty accurate, I wouldn't be surprised if some were made in the same factory as the japanese Fenders.

That "pearl square" pickguard is pretty awesome.

where are you located? if you're in the US, they are very rare here. They were mostly produced for the Japanese domestic market. Any one you might find in the US would have been individually imported.
