The cost to send it to me is not too bad but I fear the import taxes/levies will make this an expensive deal.
I don't have much experience with guitars so I can't really give an expert opinion or anything like that. I had been using an Epi Les Paul, which was already fairly short, so switching to the slightly shorter Mustang wasn't a big stretch (no pun intended!). People complain that they go out of tune easily but I haven't had any problems so far (I haven't been using the whammy bar though). The fretboard is pretty smooth and slick, and with the narrower neck, solos just feel more comfortable.Dannymec wrote:But how does it play?
Hmm I think he still bought a Fender 69 RI, not the guitar in the OP.Dannymec wrote:But how does it play?
Ah yes, I mentioned that in my post but I guess I didn't make it clear enough! Ya it's a Fender 69 RI, and it was about 75,000 JPY. ($925 USD or so)chrislee wrote:Hmm I think he still bought a Fender 69 RI, not the guitar in the OP.Dannymec wrote:But how does it play?
@blitzwing How much did you end up paying for the guitar btw?
Lol that was me who posted the thread about the Legend. I really wish I could go to Japan again. If you get the chance next time, take some pics!blitzwing wrote:Ah yes, I mentioned that in my post but I guess I didn't make it clear enough! Ya it's a Fender 69 RI, and it was about 75,000 JPY. I basically posted in this thread because it seemed relevant enough, haha.
You can actually get an MG69 RI for 67,000 JPY ($825 USD); I essentially had to pay more because it has Azusa's paint-job -_-;
I've seen the Legend LMG-01 Mustang in stores (the one from the other Mustang thread that popped up recently) and that one is about 30,000 JPY - It looks and feels fairly decent and is probably a better buy than the guitar in the OP.
