Alright, so the guitar-specific components have been swapped out. The pedal tracks the lower frequencies MUCH better as expected. The higher frequencies (mostly on the e string) do not track as well as without a boost before the pedal. Overall, a nice change though... good to be able to play the lower notes and not have it sound like barf. 
The trigger pot is going to need some tweaking with the new components, but I am please over all.
Here's another idea I'm tossing around for the pedal... an autosweep switch with rate control. Basically when the switch is flipped the stop frequency will just oscillate between mid and max based on a rate dial. I'm not sure how in-depth this will be and how much room will be required for the new components, but this could be pretty sick.
