dumb dumb dumb dumb duuuuuuumb

I can't believe how out of touch gibson is.
Really?! I though Fender was abit whack but think about the CV series and the Blacktop (even if you dislike), these are affordable and different options for people who don't want to pay 5k for the finest Gibson CEO piss-soaked Mohagany and gold plated frets and 432 probably shit sounding effects built in. Each shit gibson. Please go under.

I from now on, am never buying gibson, epiphone, any of there shit, first-hand. They need to suffer for the stupidity!
I WANT A LES PAUL JR DOUBLE CUT AWAY THAT IS UNDER 1k!

A FUCKING PEICE OF WOOD WITH ELECTRONICS IS NOT WORTH 1k no matter who made it or how few there are GOD DAMNIT!

Literally there is no reason for anyone to buy this guitar. Unless it's to give to someone you hate of course.

if I was a millionaire I would buy this and take a picture of me shitting on it and send it to Gibson.

Its like 1982 again when various Japanese companies were fitting as much circuitry onto guitars as they could, it did not take off then and it wont now. A lot of guitar players (excluding the gearheads) don't have a clue nor care about their equipment, they don't even recognize the tone knob so all this stuff will just scare them.
Someone like The Edge might make use of this.
Much agreed. Im not sure why gibsons insists on heading in this direction

Tom DeLonge sig, the Robot Guitar(s), Dark Fire, Chad Kroeger sig, "Inspired by Series" JACK BAUER [/pfft] sig, the BFD(pick an acronym of your choice!), that hideous Dusk Tiger, now this...What's next, a semi-indestructible Chuck Norris sig? The past few years have been just plain silly, premium prices for things most folks would simply deem unnecessary.

Am I the only one who thinks Henry Juszkiewicz needs get his head out of the clouds and have a town meeting with people who actually play guitars?

They're making this a limited run guitar. With a mere 1,800 copies.

they're really pushing the 'revolution' idea. like, if the zapatistas had guitars, they'd be these.

fuck offffffffffffffffffffff

anyway, it says on the first link that there'll be 1800 made, but on the gibson site it says:
With a limited run of just 2400 units, it is sure to become a collector classic.

Too bad they're only going to sell 7.

Never underestimate the infinite lack of taste that tends to accompany the disposable income of lawyers.

eh, say what you will about the rest, but the tom delonge sig is the nicest one-trick pony i've ever played. gibson brought back the dirty fingers just for this guitar, and it's a tone you can't get from anything else. an epiphone es-333 (set neck, rear access, non-painted neck, top mount output) for $400? count me in.

i guess my point is that it's a very different guitar from the others you mentioned. in terms of the amalgamation, it's very cool. the rest are pointless, unnecessary, unimaginative and wiggity wiggity whack.

I, for one, am glad that the Firebird design is getting some love. It's too bad this is such a lame guitar. Now they're gonna ask themselves why it doesn't sell, and they'll probably blame the body shape.

I guess I'm saying bring back the affordable Firebird Studios with the cool colors dammit!

You know when the blackwater came out, I thought. Well, at least it can't get any worse. I was wrong.

The firebird looks horrendous reversed like that. Why they would choose such a body shape is beyond me.

To be quite honest, I'm actually glad ugly digital guitars like this exist because the only people buying them are rich and soulless. It makes my taste in guitars look that much better when compared to some douche playing a Gibson Robot/Variax/PRS Custom/etc etc.

i totally second this.

white, pelham blue, tv yellow, that crazy 'aged pelham' or whatever... those would be dope. most of the studio series are really nice guitars for the money. unfortunately, the firebird studios are just hard to come by.

It'd go well on an episode of Gumby!

Its animation equivalent is "The Homer":
