Those demo's from that guy with all the guitars sound really awesome. I think if I was in the market for a home amp I would be all over it.

Sorry to bring this up again, but IS THE REVERB ANY GOOD? I tried it at my shop, but since I couldn't tweak the reverb as much as would have liked to (apparently you need a computer for it) I was left wanting more. It sounded nice, but does it go all crazy? I want that spluttery "vintage" goodness.

The Vibro Champ XD (The $200 one) is essentially a Champion 600 with a DSP module fed into the front end ...and with a bigger speaker.
DSP module> single 12AX7 pre> single 6V6 power> 8 inch 4 ohm speaker.
It's NOT all tube in the same capacity that putting an effect processor (like a Pod) in front of a Champion 600 is not an all tube rig.

I'm totally stuck with this. I tried a II and like it. I need an amp that'll sound good at bedroom volumes but also has a big enough speaker to give me a proper big amp sound.
However I'm thinking I might be better off with a standalone modeler and keyboard amp for home jamming. A lot of the places I might be playing prefer everything to go through the PA, I mostly play with electronic acts.
The I would be nice in some ways for portability, but it also has a small speaker, and I really want a big speaker.
The III that's coming out has an effects loop and 100 watts so I could play without a PA if I needed to(jamming with other guitarists/bassists most likely) but is about 12lbs heavier, so not an ideal portable rig for an electronic musician.
The II might be the best compromise, but I'll be missing out on the III's features.
Considering selling my M9 and getting a HD400 + Keyboard amp.

Well, I accidentally figured out what my wife got me for Christmas; she picked up a Mustang II. Since I wanted the Mustang I, we brought it back and made the exchange (and we're using the extra left over for an SKB-62 hardshell case for my Jag).
I look forward to testing it out, but I suppose I should wait until closer to Christmas

Totally. I'm quite confident the current price on these things is an intro price and they'll be going up sometime in the new year.
Can't wait to see what sondz I can get out of it with my Jag and Hellcat VI.
Does he actually remember any of it?? Should be an interesting readlorez wrote:All I know I got is the keef autobiog

he says he needed a lot of help but basically yes. I saw an interview with him where they basically asked him why he hadn't died while everyone around him did. He basically said I knew how much I needed to get off my tits and not chase that original high or push the boundaries. He basically kept to an amount and didn't exceed it. Although from other books I've read this limit was still beyond anything most humans could even imagine (the Kris Needs biog and the Nick Kent ones shed some light on this). I'm looking forward to it to be honest just to see if it is like any other enjoyable rock bio I have read. Basically lots of details until they get famous and then they blame the drugs/drink to cover the legal restrictions of what they can talk about. Until you by the book you could always watch cock sucker blues and see if any of it makes the book:OAnkhanu wrote:Does he actually remember any of it?? Hey Rob, is the amp supposed to come with the serial # to register Amplitube Fender LE (and Ableton software), or do they just give a trial? The amp I picked up was an open box, and I'm not seeing where the serial for Amplitube might be (if it's even supposed to be in there). I'm just installing software before I'm allowed to play with the amp

Ah hah!
When you register your amp serial # on http://fuse.fender.com they give you the serials for Amplitube and Ableton. And now we know.
bah, I want to try the damn amp!!
