I haven't got a scanner, but could draw around my template and post a physical copy.

I'd love to see it. I traced out a JS using a router/bearing onto MDF... my interior routes were modified. Got a great body shape, just questionable interior routes.

How about printing off the routes for a mustang from the templates thread?
Establish your centreline and work from there, the tremolo, control, switch, neck pickup and neck routes are all the same. You just need to modify the bridge pickup route for a humbucker.

Getting there with the Mustang, Jazzmaster and Jaguar, I've ebay'd some pickguards to check dimensions before I get much further.

Made a neck pocket template, mainly for 24" scale, with bridge post holes for Jag/mustang and combo of Toronado bridge/24" neck. But also holes for Jazzmaster bridge posts.
Would also work for a strat-style neck with a tune-o-matic.

I have some in-progress templates too.

I love it. Did you get the Mustang template off the Template thread?

Technically no, I think I had it from TDRPI? But I think it is the same.

For what it's worth, here is a link for a Marauder PDF. I'd check it's math before you start cutting wood, I drew it one to one, but never printed it off to verify shit like the neck pockets. Also, since it was from a pic of an assembled guitar, the pup routes are up to you.

Link expires on 28-Mar.

I've printed that off, will definately make a template.

Thank you!

Looks like it will use mostly Jag plates and routes

Since I'm done with the teardrop, and I have the tools out, I'm making some more templates.

Marauder;

Maverick;

Toronado, I'm planning on building a shortscale bass, with Squier Bronco bass neck;

A couple I scribbled out myself;

I like the top one better.

I've been back on the templates again;

Made a Swinger/mustang hybrid 'STANGER?'
The idea is so I can use off the peg mustang/musicmaster pickguards, the lower horn area is just a little larger than a stock Swinger.
Image

And a Duosonic/Musicmaster I
Image

Cut a couple of bodies with the bigger router;
A toronado, will probably get a bronco bass neck, undecided on pickups.

And a Mustang/Duosonic II.

Mahogany? I need to get a strat template. It would be nice to have a lending library for these things. I will use it once and be done with it.

Sapelle, which is pretty similar to Mahogany.

I hear you on the not needing to use templates too often; how many Strats does one man need?
My current theory is don't build what you can buy cheaper (like Strats!)
