I would go with the natural one.
it looks way better. don't know why it is cheaper but I bet it is made in the same factory.

the bridge on the natural contoured one just looks wacky compared to the other melody maker clone this one...
AD-201
Compared to this bridge
Douglas
I dunno the douglas while cheaper, just looks more wacky.

The bridge on the nat is compensated, so your intonation will be better.
I'd take that "wacky" looking one over the other, for sure.

I emailed them, that 'douglas nat' is made in china.
The other one is made in Korea, I may just buy the korean and install a better bridge and pick up down the road.

I just emailed him, the cherry Agile is cheaper cause it is now discontinued, the other colours are not.
I am gonna buy it. 199, with shipping I get a new guitar for 230 bucks, far cheaper then most options in Canada... and I will upgrade new bridge down the road and everything.
I'm just sick of cheap Chinese made guitars... since playing japanese fenders I do not wanna go back.
First upgrade suggestions? Better intonation bridge and strings?

the class vibe series is made in China and they're fine guitars.
To say one is any better than the other just on the country of origin is stupid. The quality looks identical of that natural and the natural one has the better bridge. It's your money but if that is the only reason you're going with it, I think it is a mistake. I mean, even if you like the color better, I can understand that.

i've heard good things about the agile p90's, but the toasters in my agile harm 12 are very microphonic. the guitar itself is VERY nice though, i would highly recommend agile.

Very good point.
It is more that I have heard good things about Agile, and little to nothing about Douglas... I like both the natural Douglas and Cherry Agile equally. I just don't wanna buy the Douglas and have it be a dud.
Maybe this is dumb, but I've heard such good things about agile build quality and pick-up quality that I figure it is a better option then the Douglas...
The Agile I want is 199, so only 40 bucks more then the Douglas... I feel I would replace the bridge on the Douglas eventually anyways.

I have a Douglas Spad and it's good. I had to get the 11th fret on filed down. Tuners were better than what came on my SX. So far I have not changed out the pickups but may at some point. The finish, sparkle hulk green, was good as well. Binding was also in good shape.

I need your help again fellas.
I decided I am gonna buy the Douglas Melody Maker clone thing.
I emailed rondo and they said they will cover returns (if damages are intact) on any guitar shipped to Canada if I buy a hard case... is this worth it, buying one of their 40-50 dollar hard cases for a backup 150 dollar guitar?
If it doest come with its headstock torn off cause I didn't get a case and I have to pay 40 bucks to ship it back I will be so pissed.
I found this case,
CAS
Maybe I can get them to squeeze a LP shaped guitar into that, at the bottum it claims it fitz Teles and strats, and I've heard from other threads on here that strat cases fit Mustangs with slight modification. So then I get a basic case for my Mustang and a new guitar!?
SUGGESTION PREASE?

I say F the case....it's a 1/3 of the price of the guitar....If it comes broke then they have to swap it..and well I have shipped a few axes in gigbags with no issues..if you do not like it then well ur out $150.... that's the price of the internet.....if you have played Gibson style guitars and like them then go for it.....if you not sure then wait and try some similar ones in person first.....

No I am sure I will like it, I just don't want a warped neck.
I've heard their quality control is iffy. I'll buy a basic gig-bag fuck the case. If it has marks on it, that justs adds to the punk appeal. But if it is genuinily fucked then I'll sell it on Craigslist bahaha.
No I dunno if it really sucks (like quality control wise, bad frets whatever) I will just DEAL!
Woo.
Am excite, ordering after new years.

If something is fucked up they should cover return shipping...Like a warped neck, that's not due to shipping...the neck would be warped be for the thing ever saw the case..
Here is a vid i found of a dude laying it out on an Agile Jr...audio sucks thou....

If someone is stupid enough to buy a Douglas guitar that is beat up for the same amount of money, then that's on them.
And karma can't be true or George Bush would be fucked.

I am not understanding why you need to buy the case. Read their return policy.
http://www.rondomusic.com/returns.html
They ship to US , Canada and Puerto Rico. If there is a problem like a warped neck, they will take it back in 7 days and cover the return shipping (not exceeding what they paid for shipping) or in 30 days but you pay the shipping. If the shipping company breaks the thing they are responsible for replacement if it was insured for the proper amount. They do not say anything about using a case. Maybe there was some miscommunication. Rondo has never done me wrong with a return BTW. When I shipped a guitar back to them once it cost more (like 4 bucks) because they get a better rate as a business. I got it insured for the cost of the guitar for a couple bucks more.
