Hey plaidbeer,
sounds like we were separated at birth. I've got a BT JM + Vox pathfinder. I also used to listen to all that same stuff in high school and currently have paper thin walls in my apartment. No joke.
Anyways, I was also having trouble deciding what to replace the stock HB with, when i came across a telecaster bridge pickup i had from an old guitar. Screwed it right into the hb cavity (straight across), wired it up and ...awesome. Even hum cancels in middle position. Definitely has more bite than the neck pup, and together sounds amazing. Only downside is that it looks trashy. (or kinda cool) I might try a bigsby-tele-coversion plate but that would require cutting the pickguard a bit. Whatever, i'm happy with it as is for now!
Need advice on a bridge pickup replacement

There are a lot of Pathfinder owners in this forum. This is where I got a lot of my info on it before buying one. Unfortunately, I never get to hear what it can really do because of not being able to crank it.
After thinking about it, I think the Filtertron would be the best fit, musically. A friend who works on guitars is actually looking into whether or not it will be a good fit (physically) since he can get one at a discounted rate.
