He does use the Korg Kaoss Pad... The XY pad on the guitar might be custom but it is controlling a Korg Kaoss Pad.

You can do it without building anything onto the guitar obviously. They are just mounting the touch screen onto the guitar so they can use it live.

She's really not that different from Jacqueline Mannering; different shredding genres, kinda, but similar.

You seem to be equating one guitarist to another purely on the presence of both vagina and Youtube. SEXIST PIG. But anyway, I really don't rate that Jacqueline girl because she has that same annoying pouty blank look on her face and isn't actually that good at guitar - it's more a beauty pageant for her. This chick on the Gibson is really good and shows some real expression.

I agree that she has more expression, but I was moreso equating that they're both young females, on youtube, with shredding skills that aren't very dissimilar. They look different, and they do play differently, but, they're also pretty similar in what they're pulling off in the end result. Mannering is definitely a less interesting, though rather technical player, while Valduriez is slightly less technical and has some feeling... but they're both shredders.

Don't care to get into rating their skills and all, but Jacqueline show that small hands can play a full sized guitar. That dean she plays looks a big as her. Don't see lots chording going on in her vids but she can do that too.

I don't get all this bullshit thrown around all the time about small hands not being able to manage a full 25.5" scale neck. I'm tall-ish, but I have pretty small hands. My answer to that "problem" was not to search for guitars with shorter scale lengths but to practice a little more so that I just got (a bit) better. Do people fuck off the idea of saxophones because they have a small chest in favour of the flute? What utter rot.

I have small hands and actually think I play better on a 25.5" cos they offer more of a "landing pad" and room to move. This talk is all much of a much though, considering people will always think they have their approach and methodology perfect there's no point quabbling.

Yeah that's the Kaoss Pad 2. They stopped making them a while ago when the KP3 was introduced. They are both very different though, the KP3 won't make those crazy noises which is a bit of a shame.

The Mini KP is basically a Kaoss Pad 2 in a smaller package though, isn't it?

I think its based on the KP3. It has the same effects/sounds but not the sampling/midi of the kp3.

The KP2 was better for making sound though, the KP3 is more about effects really. I've tried it with my guitar and isn't that good, can't do any of the stuff in those videos.

I have relatively small hands too, and find that scale matters not one jot to playability. Of course, I'm primarily a bassist and move to guitar... comparing 34" to guitar scales, 1.5" just doesn't seem like much of an influence to my hands. That said, now that I have one, I absolutely adore my short scale, but I'm not sure it's the 24" that does it for me so much as the overall synthesis of what is a Jaguar, ya know?

That's interesting. I thought, in general they were just pitch/gate tools, and I'd expect them to all be able to work basically the same. I'll have to look into it.

Regardless of her style of music, I do wish that I could play as well as her. Like it or not she's good at what she does.

She is. Well beyond my capabilities.
