nah, you just waste your time by pointlessly joining a site to defend a band where they are obviously widely derided. there is no reason someone can't say they don't like something. we talk about all kinds of stuff we don't like on this site. this is not a MCR fan site. we are not walking up to MCR fans and telling them MCR sucks. we are on a guitar discussion forum sharing our opinion about a related topic. if there is anyone antagonizing here it's you. if you have some concrete reason you think we should appreciate this band, please let us know. but just rattling off meaningless assertions about them like, 'they are so good, everyone that doesn't like them sucks', is not going to change anyone's opinion.

I think that bass is rather nice. I would think that people here would like sparkly offset designs, people seem to jizz left and right over the J. Mascis Jazz, Bilinda's red "Mustang," etc. How is this that different? I mean, maybe the black isn't that great, but the body finish itself is sweet. I had an Ibanez JTK30 in sparkly silver and it was amazing looking.

People aren't saying they don't care for their music. They are saying very negative rude comments. Which is COMPLETLEY different than just saying you don't really care for something. And you ARE NOT on a topic that discusses MCR and how much you hate them. In case you forgot, this site was about Mikey's bass. Which is what started this topic.

Ahhh, no. I am simply stating that we are all adults here ( at least I think so..I am) and I think it's immature for you to hate on a band. Like I said and will say again, you don't like them FINE, move on. That's your opinon. Just like me liking the band is my opinon. I don't need to prove anything to you about them. and you saying "'they are so good, everyone that doesn't like them sucks', is not going to change anyone's opinion" I NEVER made that statement. Sorry, that is not how the world works. Opinions run things if you haven't figured that out, as unpleasent as it is. There is nothing wrong with voicing your opinion on a topic in a open forum. I think stating your opinion on the quality of music that someone creates with their bass, (however interesting the bass is) is completely relevant.

It is not 'hating' on you cause you have another opinion, it is pointing out that you are being a self-rightous bum. Get over it, someone doesn't like My Chemical Romance, 'Mikey' or his sparkly mustang bass. That is not a personal attack on you.

If anything you are being a troll and deviating from subject more than anyone by reviving a dead thread in order to promote YOUR opinion of the band and critisice others.

Yeah, i don't hate them.

I think sparkle comp stripe and matching headstock is to much information. But it's still a good looking bass.

How has Shad not MCR bombed this thread yet?

Ehhh. I have plenty of friends who like that kind of music on top of all the so called good music. Elitism never looks good on anybody. Practically half the music in the world is made for teenage girls and who cares. I'd rather target them than some morose 24 year old dudes who have nothing good about them and think that having good taste makes them interesting but it doesn't
