It could also be the company that the guitar is in that makes it look good.
ALSO THIS ABOMINATION!!
one of the ugliest guitars ever. EVER.
That thing has so embarrassed a perfectly respectable Les Paul next to it that it's looking the other way.

That guitar almost looks like someone flashing a crowd. You'd just need to use a trench coat instead of gigbag.
Also, that weird red gibson with red humbuckers looks pretty neat. What model is it? It looks far more teisco than anything else they do.
PS: I'm really sorry for dragging this thing so far off topic. I'm all for that ukulele.

The zoot suit SG's always reminded me of Fender's Wildwood guitars. I just don't get why Gibson keeps making guitars with no inlays.

I can only assume the "Dr." thing may be inspired by a vintage advertising thing. Back in the late 1960s, Oldsmobile had a very successful advertising campain to sell their Olds 442. They invented 'Dr. Oldsmobile, a goofy mad scientist type charicter always sporting a white dr's smock. I think maybe they are playing on that..

Where did they find that guy's hair?
I like the uke/mando whatevs. That black and white guitar should be called the Mullet.
