Building my first kit, tips!

WOW. Awesome dude!
It doesn't have a case... I may do this after I build a simple Fuzz face or something.
THE THING is I don't want any pedal BYOC sells... or GGG either really...

UPDATE:
Soldering went pretty well. However, I think I fucked up somewhere along the way. I get signal when bypassed but once switch is on, no sound passes through.
Stupidly enough I forgot to put the transistors in the sockets before giving it a try... Could that have damaged something? I feel so stupid haha..

Make sure u have ur stomp switch oriented correctly.... the groove on the threads should be pointing straight down or up....not to the right or the leftdrBenway wrote:UPDATE:

I have not built a pedal since Oct... I have been avoiding it cuz it is addicting... anyway I just traded my Mayo clone(modded Triangle Big Muff) for a fret level on my Epi SG... and well, this thread got me thinking about finally getting to building that IC BMP....
I just got done ordering the all the parts for the the IC BMP and a improved replacement for my Mayo...

I checked some sites on teh intarwebz and now I'm totally sure that I wired the switch the wrong way.

The "loops" on mine are deffo facing the other way. I had no internet connection while building it, so I basically just guessed on some parts. How naughty of me.
Now I'll just have to get me some drill bits, solder the switch properly and voila..

GREAT thread this one
im thinking about getting the fuzz factroy kit and the tubescreamer from the same site but im an absolute novice at pedal building and electronics in general
i had some soldering lessons at school but that was 10 years ago and thats pretty much the extent of my knowledge on the subject
would they be good to have a go at?

Don't worry... I made the same mistake on my first build.... how do u think I knew what the issue was so quickly?...drBenway wrote:Sorry for making you relapse, and good luck on the kit.
