The tuners on a Mustang Bass are too heavy IMO, it messes up the balance of the instrument, a common problem with Fender basses. Vintage Mustang/Musicmaster Bass necks are even worse, they neck dive quite badly. The Bronco Bass tuners aren't so great but with a couple of twists of a reamer, you can install the Schaller M4 tuners, which are really great tuners that are common on Alembics and aren't too expensive. I've never played a squier bronco bass so I have no idea how that neck feels. Neither have I played a CIJ mustang neck. The tuners on the bronco looks off to me though and I don't care much for maple necks.
