There seems to be less complaints about the mustang switches which are in the direct line of fire.
+1 my man! Never hit my jag switches, but the mustang (in particular the bridge pickup switch) is forever being knocked slightly by me, and turning off

I believe it's called
flailing.
I suppose windmills might be to blame too.

@laterallateral
My classic player jag has bridge post thimbles in it. Just throwing that out there, maybe different models or something
Personally, i would like to change the bridge on mine, to something that doesnt completely cut off the sound of the strings between the brdige and tremolo. i know the brake angle and all that, but i wasnt sure if like a mastery bridge/ warmoth modified mustang would allow that to happen...
i know this is a shot in the dark here, but any suggestions at all as to what i should get?

How people hit THOSE switches is beyond me, too.
The only switches I do hit are Strat switches.

there are not different models of classic player jaguars. they
all have adjust-o-matic bridges, and they
all thread into thimbles. not the cup-style thimbles that are on the original jaguars/jazzmasters/mustangs, but the ones with threads to prevent rocking, like on a les paul.

Yes, the strat switch always got in the way back when I played in bands. Bridge pup only on the second half of the song. Course I was a flailing youngster.

Well, by 'different models' i meant the japan and mexico versions. so i wasnt too clear.
what you are responding to is my response to an older post. and i quote:
"The CP's bridge posts are indeed not seated in thimbles but screwed into the body..."
So i was kind of thrown off by that. now im not too sure what to think here.
My main concern is the question i asked. im not out to surf and point out things that need corrections.
Does any one by chance have any idea as to what the exact break angle on an original jaguar/jazzmaster is?
that would help a great deal! i am looking for a bridge that will allow those few inches of string between the tremolo and bridge to resonate a little more. Either mastery or warmoth modified mustang. i dont care about sustain or anything like that. if i wanted more sustain id turn the volume to 10.
last time i checked, the 80s was what, 30 years ago? dont quote me on that. but im not out to sound like phil collen here. i want my jaguar to be imperfect, which i cant seem to find any answer to.
im starting to think this site is a joke, it represents the modern music of today. and im a hypocrite for even signing up.

You're right, it sort of does. Mastodon and Taylor Swift.
And it is a joke. We're all laughing pretty much constantly.

Loser01 wrote:i want my jaguar to be imperfect, which i cant seem to find any answer to.
